RABBIT

THE FLEXIBLE, BALANCED RABBIT
Symbolic Characteristic: HARMONY
Energy: YIN
Element: WOOD
Month: MARCH
Direction: EAST
Season: SPRING

WOOD RABBITS (1915, 1975):
The emphasis of double wood produces very generous, altruistic Rabbits who are preoccupied with recieving and sharing material wealth. Wood Rabbits are also quite creative and artistic and will often choose the arts to express their talents; they will also commit to frequent travel for inspiration.

FIRE RABBITS (1927, 1987):
The presence of the fire adds passion and more daring to the normally reticent Rabbit. Skilled with verbal dexterity, Fire Rabbits make great debaters and politicians who are not too fearful of the public eye when pursuing justice for minority groups. With their additional energy, Fire Rabbits also demonstrate more dedication to long-range plans than other Rabbits.

EARTH RABBITS (1939, 1999):
The earth element adds to the Rabbit's already balanced nature, which means that Earth Rabbits are fairly pragmatic and moralistic. They are serious and hardworking characters who will follow tradition and apply caution when making decisions.

METAL RABBITS (1951, 2011):
The metal element provides Rabbits with much-needed tenacity and courage. Metal Rabbits are the least emotional of all Rabbits and are adept in the political and business arena. They are also ambitious and will find much success, at least partly due to their intuitive skills. Metal Rabbits need to make sure that they do not become too rigid in their beliefs.

WATER RABBITS (1963):
The water element deepens Rabbits' already intuitive and sensitive nature, making Water Rabbits extremely sensitive to their surroundings and others' hardships. Plagued by irrational fears and insecurity, Water Rabbits may become rather withdrawn and extremely passive; this will cause them to miss out on a lot of enjoyment in life.

Tiger

Rabbit
Good But Needs Work
A common understanding and calmness will ensure that there are few disagreements between these two. However, this union will be extremely passive and is likely to buckle under outside pressure.
Dragon
Challenging
Magnetic and impulsive Dragon will be too much for reserved and cautios Rabbit. Dragon will quickly tire of Rabbit's lack of strength.
Snake
Good But Needs Work
Their mutual tact and political correctness will keep these two respecting each other. Their secretive sides could lead to mutual suspicion if open communication is not maintained.
Horse
Challenging
Much frustration and misunderstanding will mark this pairing. Energetic and fiery Horse will lose patience with the steady pace and passivity of Rabbit.
Monkey
Challenging
Both are witty and inventive, which will ensure an attraction. However, Monkey will always be breaking social rules and norms, which Rabbit won't tolerate for long.
Dog
Good But Needs Work
Rabbits and Dogs have similar temperaments and are likely to put each other's needs before their own. While there will be little conflict, there will also be not much challenge between them, or much initiative taken.
Rooster
Very Bad
Roosters and Rabbits are poles apart in their values and social styles and, hence, little respect can be achieved. Rabbits are considerate and understated, and Roosters quite self-absorbed.
