Symbolic Characteristic: HONESTY
Energy: YIN
Element: WATER
Month: NOVEMBER
Direction: NORTH/NORTHWEST
Season: EARLY WINTER
WOOD PIGS (1935, 1995):
The wood element provides an emphasis on Pig's communication skills. Wood Pigs are good at communicating their thoughts and feelings and are able to express their needs. Wood Pigs are encouraged to consider careers as counselors or diplomats in order to use skills to the fullest.
FIRE PIGS (1947, 2007):
The fire element gets Pigs moving and adds some bravado and risk taking to their home-loving characters. Fire Pigs are more ambitious than other Pigs and are more likely to seek careers that ensure some travel and moderate adventure. Fire can also heighten Pigs' eagerness, which could lead them into situations they cannot handle.
EARTH PIGS (1959, 2019):
Earth Pigs are the true homebodies of the Pig family. The big, wide world is of little interest, as they are quite happy to settle down early in life and lead a routine, secure existence. It's the simple, everyday pleasures that Earth Pigs seek.
METAL PIGS (1971):
Metal provides Pigs with much-needed strength of character and tenacity. Metal Pigs are ambitious, but also fairly sociable. They blend the various areas of their life together well. Metal Pigs have a tendency to be extra stubborn.
WATER PIGS (1923, 1983):
The double water element heightens Pigs' heavy emotional and intuitive state, making Water Pigs supersensitive and emotionally indulgent. Lost in a world of introspection and prone to depression, Water Pigs may lack the physical and mental fortitude required for lifting themselves out of a rut.
