WOOD MONKEYS (1944, 2004):
The stability of wood dilutes some of the Monkeys' rather eccentric and rash traits. Wood Monkeys are more focused, less erratic, and hence more capable than the average Monkey. They are the most comfortable and secure Monkeys to be around. FIRE MONKEYS (1956, 2016):
Monkeys' natural metal element combines with fire to form quite powerful and ruthless individuals. Fire Monkeys are passionate and don't mind applying a little physical force as a last resort. Fire Monkeys are the most competitive and dangerious of the Monkeys.

EARTH MONKEYS (1968):
The effect of teh earth element is to make these Monkeys fairly interested in persuing their intellectual development. Earth Monkeys read widely and are likely to hold numerous academic qualifications from an early age. They are diligent and focused.

METAL MONKEYS (1920, 1980):
The effect of double metal is to make these Monkeys quite ambitious, intelligent, and very good with money. Metal Monkeys are extremely confident of their own abilities and have little trouble convincing others of their talents.

WATER MONKEYS (1932, 1992):
The water element ensures that these Monkeys are more considerate and more understanding of their effect and, therefore, less inclined to ridicule anyone. Water Monkeys are team players, able to cooperate and to keep a check on their emotions.
